Cheyenne Smith, Residential Designer
I am a native Middle Tennessean and Western Kentucky University graduate with a B.S. degree in Architectural Design and Construction. As I child, I loved drawing bedroom floor plans and rearranging my bedroom furniture. I then spent my high school and college years working for various home builders learning how to build the "bedrooms" and the rest of the house. After college, I worked in healthcare design and construction with an overlap in residential design for 12 years.
While my time in healthcare allowed me to broaden my experience in other types of building construction, residential design and construction has always been my true passion. Having the opportunity to meet different people, learn their hopes and dreams for their home, and then taking those ideas and designing their perfect home is a fun and rewarding process.
Not only do I love to design other people's homes, I'm constantly changing and re-designing my own home as well. I designed and built my previous residence and am currently bringing my 100+ year old East Nashville Folk Victorian back to life.
When I'm not playing with someone's home, or my own home, you can find me building furniture or off on a run.
